Reason for building/tell us the story behind it from your views.  Why this vehicle, what was your motivation and any stories you want to share along its process. =  I purchased this car, because i wanted a Manual transmission, and was just a much nicer looking car, than the previous ride I had.   When I purchased it, it came with wheels, and the front lip, but during the first winter, I slid into a cement retaining wall, and bent the right front rim and destroyed the front lip. So, I purchased new black FASTwheels FC09 and ran those for 3years, then recently went to a set of white JNC 6spoke.

The wrap livery design started in early summer of 2023 and was solely due to the clear coat starting to peel on the rear quarter panel, so I found a livery that only covered the top half.  I have done a couple different renditions on the doors, from an IMSA WEATHERTECH SPORTSCAR CHAMPIONSHIP inspired GTD-Pro class style red door card, with red windshield banner and red rear wing plates, to then become an advertisement space for a friend’s Detailing and Graphics company, and has now become its final version of the Rothmans/Mitsubishi.  I’ve considered going back to a solid metallic blue, but this livery has built a life of its own. People know it, and love it. So do I.

The phrase “Built, Not Bought” stands true with Lancy. I may buy parts, but I’ve done 98% of the installation and modification work myself, And I’m extremely proud of that.

Currently at 355,000km, it’s still going strong and looking good.

Name of Ride and story behind it =

Its name, @Blue_lancy, is pretty simple really.  It started life as a blue Lancer.
