Reason for building/tell us the story behind it from your views. Why this vehicle, what was your motivation and any stories you want to share along its process? = The Chevy Xtreme truck was purchased new in 2000 in California by a close friend Bryan Burger. At that time, he was starting his career in custom painting and building mini trucks. In 2006 he moved to Grove Oklahoma and started Xtreme Customs auto paint and continued to build the Chevy Xtreme mini truck, upon 90% completion of the build in 2012 he was forced to sell it due to needing open heart surgery. When we heard of the truck being up for sale, we were unable to purchase the truck at that time due to financial obligations on a current 4×4 mega Suburban build that we were doing at that time. In 2014 we decided to sale our mega truck named “Mud Chucker” and listed it on social media marketplace approximately two weeks of it being listed we were messaged with a proposition of a trade straight across for a custom mini truck followed with pictures of our close friend’s truck. We were excited and arranged the trade to acquire the mini truck.
We called Bryan and told him that we got the Xtreme mini truck. He was excited just as much as we were to get the mini truck. However, it had been run down over the course of one year by the current owner. It took approximately two years of repairs on the engine, interior, suspension, sound system, and paint correction to bring the truck back to show quality during that time we are sad to say we lost our best friend Bryan Burger to a massive heart attack. Over the course of owning the Xtreme for 10 years, we have shown the truck at World Of Wheels in Kansas City Missouri, Street Machine National in Springfield Missouri, Slamily Reunion in Fort Smith Arkansas, Slamboree in Shawnee/Tulsa Oklahoma, Sparks in the Ozarks in Noal Missouri, Relaxin in the park in Festus Missouri, Static Nationals in Rogersville Tennessee, Maple Leaf in Carthage Missouri, Mother Road Mayhem in Joplin Missouri, Show-Me Shake-up in Branson Missouri, Shephard of the Hills in Branson Missouri. We have had the pleasure of meeting some amazing people and making great friends along the way and we are looking forward to many more adventures from here on. If you happen to see us come and say Hi.
The name of the Ride and the story behind it is Divel Dime. We own the Mud Chucker off-road club, which has over 400 members. We shared a picture with the club, and our members named the truck due to the air brushing.
